Today we went to Luke Grandma's house during and after preschool so that we could help set up her Christmas decorations. It was really a great day. The kids mostly watched shows, but were awesome help when it came to decorating the tree. Once the tree was set up Rhev got really concerned because they didn't have atrain to set up. Every tree has to have a train around it. Grandma informed him that their train was lost and they didn't know where to look. Broken hearted he told her she needed to buy one. So what did Grandma do? She bought one online. Rhev was delighted, but not nearly as ecstatically happy as he was when grandpa walked into the room 5 minutes later with the lost train. He had found it! Rhev was the gittiest happiest little boy you've ever seen. He had no problem volunteering to help Grandpa put it together to see if it worked. Grandpa saved the day!
Another sweet Rhev moment was when he gave me an early Christmas present. He worked on it all night. he brought it to me in a Walmart sack. It was a sack full of pictures he had colored.
I was so honored to receive this gift.
Lastly, before bed, Rhev decided he wanted to sleep outside; "camping" he said. We informed him that it was too cold outside and mentioned something about the 6 inches of snow being a problem. Then he quickly said "that's okay, I can sleep in your closet". Why he chose our closet as the alternative, I do not know. I was just happy he wasn't sleeping outside :)
Now do you see why I love him?!
