Trains with "The Other Grandma"

Today my got to have a special visitor come over to play. Great Grandma Christensen (aka The Other Grandma) came over to play for the morning. The boys loved having her here. I think they showed her every single toy we own. It was a constant show and tell. After she was here for a bit, Rhev decided he wanted to build a train with Mommy and Grandma. He dragged his whole train set into my room so we could play. It took a LONG time to figure out just how Rhevy wanted the train to be set up. It had to be perfect. He also had the responsibility of explaining to Grandma what every piece and part of his train set was suppose to do. Then he went into this very descriptive story of how steam is made. The things that kid knows just amazes me. He can tell you more things about animals, the earth, the solar system, and all sorts of sciences then I could.
They got to spend some pretty sweet time building trains. Grandma was so patient and was right down in the action.
She sat and listened to every explanation.

Trayvn getting in the way. "Take a picture of me Mom"

The Finished Product. I think Great Grandma did pretty good.

Once the Train was finished and Rhev was through playing, Trayvn decided that it was his turn to play. He played and played and played. Rhev didn't care cause he was off to something else and I think this was the first time Trayvn actually got to play with the train and didn't have big brother coming and yelling at him. Trayvn was so cute to watch. He has quite the imagination.

It was quite a magical morning for these boys. Not many kids get the chance to have a play date with their Great-Grandma. I think they will remember this train day for a long time.
