Why am I the luckiest girl in the world? Well.... It's because I was blessed with the handsomest and sweetest boys in the world. Sunday mornings are my favorite. I love to see my boys cleaned, dressed up in white shirts and ties, and looking like missionaries. Since the day our boys were born we have always dressed them in white shirts, ties and their best Sunday pants and shoes. We do it because neither Tyce nor I have ever seen either one of our Dads wear anything but that to church and we want our boys to grow up knowing that kind of example. I feel like it really helps the boys understand that Sunday is a really special day and it starts by what you wear. Plus, you can't deny they look absolutely Handsome!!!
Once the boys and I are ready for church, we like to go outside on the front step and wait for Daddy to come and pick us up. He has an early morning meeting on Sundays, so when it's finished then he comes and gets us.
Trayvn loves to play chasing games!
This is what happens when I try to get them to pose for a picture :)
Today was a Special Sunday so I decided to take their pictures. Today was the Primary Program for our ward and the first time Rhev has ever given a talk. We have been practicing his talk and the songs he would sing for weeks now. He was so ready and so excited to give his talk. When we got to church we found out the Rhev had quite the cheering section waiting for him. Candy Grandma and the kids were there, but so were Luke Grandma and Grandpa, Dave and Kylee, and Amy and Warren and their kids. Rhev thought it was so cool that they all came to watch him.
"I can be a missionary by reading scriptures, being a good example and being a good friend" - Rhev's talk
As he got up to the microphone to give his talk, he didn't disappoint and made sure that he said his line LOUD and clear. He made sure he woke up all the old people in the back row:) He was so confident and cute. He said it all by himself and didn't skip a beat. I'm such a wimpy Mom because it made me tear up. I just can't believe he is getting so big and is so confident with himself. He makes me proud everyday.
I am so grateful that my boys have the gospel in their lives. I really hope some day they will both be able to go on missions and serve the Lord. I realize that the preparation for those missions starts now. Going to church every Sunday isn't an easy thing with kids, but I know that it's worth it. I know that someday they will appreciate and understand the gospel more and on that day our hard work will be worth it. I want to be a forever family and I know this is just one of the important steps it takes to be that forever family.
