Proof of Independance

If you really know my little independent, "I do it" boy, this picture will not surprise you. At church today with my parents, Trayvn decided he needed a drink. Instead of asking for help, he climbed on the couch next to the drinking fountain and climbed up onto the fountain.  

He got a drink all by himself.

Fair 2013

Well thanks to our wonderful borrowed wheelchair and chase to push me, I was able to go to the fair with my family. We took Rhev in durig the afternoon to ride the rides while Trayvn stayed at Candy Grandma's and took a nap. Miss Allie and little chase came to ride the rides with him. He loves doing rides with Allie and where they are the same height it works our perfectly.

Charlie got a wrist band too so he could go on the rides with little Chase. 

Rhev loved almost all of the rides. He cried and screamed the whole way down on the giant slide, but went on it 3 times. It was a love hate relationship. He also really really hated the haunted house. It really surprized me because he loves Halloween type things, but he came out really upset. Allie thought it was way cool.

After we finished with rides we headed over to walk through the commercial buildings. Because Rhev loves trains so much, we decided that he would love to see the railroad display with the electric train and tracks. We were right, he LOVED it. He just stood there and watched in amazement. Then he noticed Tyce was filling out some tickets and asked what they were for. Tyce not thinking said "I'm writing your name on these so you  could be able to win this train". Rhev of course took that as he WAS winning the train and was so so upset with us when we decided it was time to go somewhere else and we didn't take the train he had won with him. He cried and cried. No matter what kind of explaining we tried to do, we could not convince him that he hadn't actually won the train and we weren't taking it home. The Whole rest of the night he asked us and begged for that train. It never left his mind. He was never distracted from wanting to go back and see his train. 

After some fighting and coaxing we made it over to watch a bamboo show. Trayvn got there just in time to watch the show. The boys laughed and laughed. They sat up on the front row with Uncle Chase and had a great time.

When the bamboo show finished we went over to the petting zoo. The kids got to feed the animals and milk a cow.

 You"ll notice the carpet burn marks still on Trayvn's face :)

After the petting zoo we went over to the barns to look at all the other animals. By the time we were about half way through, the boys were tired, we were tired, the crowd was getting hard to go through with me in a wheelchair and the kids in a stroller, so we went to look at the train one last time and then headed home. On the way we stopped at McDonald's for dinner. All that yummy fair food and we decided it was best to stop at McDonald's :)

The next day was Tyce and I's yearly traditional date night to go watch the demolition derby. It took alot of persuading on my part to get Tyce to even let me go to the derby, but eventually I did win and he let me go. It was a much needed dated night with my husband. The boys spend the night at Luke Grandma's and she planned to keep them and take them to church the next day, so we didn't even have them to  worry about getting home to. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't the easiest night sitting in those bleachers. Tyce brought my bleacher chair so I at least had a backrest, but it was still rough. Eventually in the middle of the show he came out with me and let me stretch out a bit. Little Miss has never liked loud sounds and she was going crazy inside my belly.  I definitely suffered the consequences for our date night, but it was so worth it to have some special time with my Tyce. I love him so much!

Creative Walk

Today at Candy Grandma's the boys wanted to go for a walk. Because school and harvest have started, nobody else is home to do it but her. So she loaded them up in the stroller and walked them around the driveway. That's all the farther they went. Just circles around and around. They loved it. After while they did discover that they were crammed in together and the fighting began so the walk ended. But it worked out perfectly because they were just in the driveway and not a ways down the road.

She is such a good Grandma. The boys know they can have anything in the world. All they have to do is ask Grandma.

He's such a silly little puppy!

Watch Me

Trayvn has figured out that he likes attention. But not just any attention, your full fledged undivided attention. He will say "watch, watch, watch" over and over until you have given him your full attention. Sometimes if he feels like it is taking you too long to respond or react to his summons then he will grab you by the cheeks and physically turn your head until you are watching. Kayl fell victim to his "Watch me" episode today but instead of giving Trayvn what he wanted, he grabbed Trayvns cheeks and did it back to him. Then it turned into a squish the face contest. Kayl really knows how to play with the boys. He does so well with them and they love Uncle Kayl.

The Hill by Great-Grandma's

Going to Great-Grandma's house is always fun and adventurous. She always has great food, tons of treats and fun toys to play with. Going out and jumping on the tramp, checking out the cows and horses are also a highlight to her house. Leaving Great Grandma Christensen's house is also fun as well. Don't get me wrong, the boys hate when the fun there has ended, but it doesn't last long because they remember the "big" hills we get to drive on on the way home. The road out to her house is so hilly and bumpy. Every time we're driving and a hill comes up Dad yells "put your arms up" and the roller coaster ride begins.The boys both confidently raise their hands high above their heads and giggle as the hills tickle their tummies. Daddy also isn't afraid to hit the hills going at a fast speed to make sure the tickle in their tummy is intense. It's one of our most fun traditions

The Belly

I don't usually like to take pictures of myself, especially in the "fat" condition that I am in, but I always take at least one picture of my belly when it really starts to show. As you can see our sweet little sister is growing and so is Mommy. I'm still pregnant at 32 weeks. I am so grateful to have made it this far. The doctor is feeling confident that if she was to  come anytime, she would be able to do well with not many complications. I was given a steroid shot at 28 weeks to help her develop faster and especially help her lungs develop quicker. It takes a couple weeks to fully take effect and so I am extremely happy to have made it this far. Bed-rest has been a roller-coaster ride, but I am so grateful to be so close to having a healthy full term baby girl. I am excited, her Dad is excited and her brothers are especially excited. Rhev loves her already and talks to her on a daily basis before he goes to bed and when he wakes up in the morning. We are ready for this little bundle to be apart of our family.
