1st Camping Trip of the Year

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and go on a mini camping trip up to pebble creek with Candy Grandma and Aunts and uncles. We got there really late the first night and had a hard time finding a place to put the campers. We dodged alot of rocks, but we finally got in and were able to put some VERY tired kids to bed.

The next morning started a great day of adventure. Chase is so good with his nephews. They were trying to make bow and arrows out of willows. And you know what? They actually worked. The boys loved them and it kept them busy for quite awhile.

Maylie Girl was born to be a camper. She could be outside ALL the time! I've never known a kid that just glows at the thought of being dirty and outside.

Tyce thought it would be fun to pack the kids up and go on a ride on the Rhino to Chesterfield lake. Chase wanted to do some fishing and Tyce wanted to find new trails to ride. We loaded the kids and packed a couple snacks (thinking we would be gone for maybe an hour or two). Kayl and Chase jumped on some 4 wheelers and we headed out into the mountains.  The trails were actually not all that bad, and we were having a great time. Then the ride started getting long. Maylie had fallen asleep, but the boys were definitely awake and letting us know that they were done with this. 5 HOURS LATER we reached Chesterfield Lake. The kids were hungry and tired, but the idea of fishing made them feel alot better. Grandma and Grandpa brought the aunts in the pickup to join us. Which also meant we could send the kids back to camp with them and not have to go on the long ride back. It only took us 2 hours to get back because we finally found the right trial. Even though it ended up being the longest ride of our lives, we still had a good day and it will be a ride to remember.
Even after being in the rhino for so long, she still had a smile on her face and loved every minute of it! Even with an empty belly.

The last day was a little quieter. No crazy adventures. The boys loved playing in the creek and creating forts and hunting with their bows. It makes a moms heart happy to see her kids so happy and content. Camping is such a great thing for a family. Spending so much time together as a family is just what every family needs. Family is the most important!

My Beautiful Daughters

Everyday I miss my baby girls. I can't wait for the day when I can have them back, but as for right now, I'm so  grateful to be able to have days to celebrate them and have others remember them. This memorial day turned out as one of the best ones yet. My sweet girls were so beautiful and so loved. So many people played a role in remembering them.

It's so important to me to have my boys know who their sisters are. I want them to also have the goal of meeting them someday.

Before

I was also surprised by this sweet picture of Wes's youngest kids posing with my babies. It was such a sweet gesture ans brought tears to my eyes. Wes and Brittany will never know just how much it meant to me to have them think of my girls. I am so blessed.

I love my girls!

Play Time

One of the bonus's to having an unfinished basement is you can ride wiggle cars all year long and this morning was one of the few occasions where brothers were getting along good enough to ride together.  I really enjoy these moments.

The weather has been so nice and the kids have been begging for a pinic at Candy grandma's. We packed lunches and headed over for some fun.

Trayvn really wanted to have a ride on the 4 wheeler, but we weren't doing rides today. So instead of accepting no as an answer, he climbed up and just sat there waiting. The funny part was he was sitting there in his underwear. He got his clothes all wet and refused to wear them until they were dry. So here is my pouty little boy, in his underwear, waiting for a ride that is not going to come.

Love him!

Rhev was convinced that there were fish in Grandma's pond. He wanted so bad to catch a fish, but look at that water. There ain't no fish!

Tricksters

My kids are always competing and always trying to be better then the other person. Well Trayvn has found something that he can beat Rhev in..... Flexibility. That boy is so flexible.

Back flat, legs straight, full out stretch, this boy is a contortionist.

Rhev is nowhere even close to doing what Trayvn can do.

It may only be something little, but Trayvn finally beat Rhev in something. I truly do hope they can keep their competitive relationship throughout their lives. I believe it will make both of them stronger and better their relationship. I love the brotherly relationship they have.

Daily adventure

Oh the many faces of my cute girl. Oh how I LOVE my Maylie Hope!

One of Maylie's biggest fans is her Aunt Kimmie. Those two have such a bond that will lst for many years. Today kimmie pushed and pushed Maylie in the swing for a long time. Maylie loved it and Kimmie loved her smile.

Later when we got home Rhev came in and said he wasn't feeling well. We got him all snuggled up in a blanket with his baby puppy on the couch with a show. Poor little guy. He looks so miserable.

After some Rhev snuggle time, Maylie let me know she was hungry. That girl can eat! She can also make a huge mess, but there's that cute smile.

More snuggle time with mommy.

So I was finally able to catch a picture sequence of Trayvn during a "whiny" session. It's quite the process and he is so pitiful and oh so cute. We love him!
