Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was spent with the Christensen family. WE love going out to Grandma and Grandpa's house with the whole clan there. They are a great bunch to be with. One tradition that they have is to do skeet shooting. Most everyone goes out and shoots the guns. The first year Tyce and I were married I accidentally shot him in the butt with a BB gun. I couldn't hit any skeet with a shot gun, but I sure could hit Tyce 40 yards away with a BB gun.

The guns were really noisy and Trayvn didn't like it so Uncle Chase found him some ear plugs and Grandpa kept him on his shoulders so he wouldn't run in front of the shooters.

Here's some pictures of all the cousins trying to out shoot each other. You should hear them argue about who actually hit the skeet. It's pretty funny.

My boys had a great time shooting the 22 shotgun as well. There Dad is such a great man. He is so patient with them and really helps them to feel like they are just like the big boys.

Tyce and the kids stayed the whole day out at Great Grandma's. I had to leave around 5:00 to go Black Friday shopping with Kim and my Mom. Shandarae and Brielle decided they wanted to come with me too. It was a fun evening and I was done shopping and back at Grandma's by 9:00. It was the quickest black Friday shopping I've ever done.

Salt Lake Trip 2013

Tyce thought it would be a fun idea to take the boys down to Salt Lake to see the lights on temple square. We invited Luke Grandma and Grandpa to come with us. The boys were so excited to go on a "long ride" with Grandma and Grandpa. We left late in the evening on Tuesday so by the time we got into Utah it was too late to do anything. We went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. The boys love that restaurant. They think it's so cool that you can eat the peanuts and throw them on the floor. After dinner we went over to the temple to see the lights. Once we got there we realized the lights weren't turned on yet. When Tyce looked it up and the internet he accidentally looked up the schedule for 2010 not 2013. So they wouldn't be turned on until after Thanksgiving. So instead of trying to figure out something else to do we decided the kids would have more fun going to the hotel and swimming then doing anything else.

This was Maylie's first time swimming.

Isn't her suit cute?!

Grandma came swimming with us and Grandpa stayed on the side to help with kids. My boys are becoming quite the little swimmers. They love the water and so does my little Miss Maylie. I think she was born to be a fish. It was fun to have Grandma swimming with us. She didn't mind holding Maylie in the hot tub while Tyce and I played with the boys in the pool.
After swimming we went back to our hotel rooms. Grandma and Grandpa had their own room and we had ours. Our room only had one king sized so we all slept on the bed together; except Maylie, she slept in her car seat. Surprisingly it wasn't that bad of a night. I think both boys were so tired from the excitement of the day that they slept really well.
The next morning Tyce left early to go pick up a Christmas present for Rhev that we found on KSL, so the kids and I slept in and had a lazy morning. Once Tyce finally came back, we had breakfast, loaded the kids and left to head over to the temple grounds. We were excited to find out that the Anderson's were also at the temple grounds that day. I think it was really fun for the kids to get to do it all together.

I love my boys

After we were done on the grounds we went up to the top of the LDS Business Building. I was really surprise at Rhev. He was TERRIFIED! He hated every minute. He wouldn't even look to see if he could see the train station. Trayvn thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Then we walked over to the mall to get some lunch and walk around. The kids were starving. Once they were finished eating we were finally able to take Rhev to ride the train. We told him yesterday that we were going to ride it if he was a good boy and all day he was reminding us of our promise.

His eyes beamed as the train pulled up and they entered. Everyone went on the tram but Maylie and I. She was Starving so I hurried and walked to the car to feed her. For What Tyce said I think they had a great time riding around Salt Lake.

Once they returned to the car, we headed home. We stopped at a Chuckie Cheese and let the kids play for a while and then headed back home. It was a short vacation, but a much needed one. It was so fun to have the time with my parents. We love them so much and my boys especially love to have them around. It was a very special time together and I don't think my boys will ever forget it.

Hands up, Hands Down

Now everytime we drive, Trayvn likes to play "hands up, hands down". He will yell and yell at us until we join in the game and then he yells, "hands up" so we put our hand up, "hands down" and we put our hands down. You are absolutely not allowed to put your hands up are down until he says so. It just kills me how funny he is!

Happy 22nd Birthday Chase

Today was Uncle Chase's birthday and of course he let his little buddy help him blow out the candles.

It's a good thing we're no "germ-a-phoebes" because there was a lot of spit added to his brownie pudding cake.

After cake we decided to play the farming game. It is the Williams families favorite board game to play. Tyce said that one time on his mission, he and his companion kept them game set up for weeks and made their own money for the millions of dollars that they had had.

We're goofballs, but we are happy :)

For some reason Rhev thought it was a good idea to put a really small rubber band around his head. It ended up getting caught in a knot around some of his hair while Chase was trying to get it out. It hurt him pretty bad. I don't think he'll be doing that again anytime soon.

My boys are pretty lucky to have their Uncle Chase. He loves them so much and treats them like their are his best friends. I'm so grateful for his example!

Who's the best at getting Maylie to smile?

That would be Luke Grandpa of course. She responds to no one like she does her grandpa! She is all smiles every time!

Just an Ordinary Day at Our House

Maylie has been sick the last few days. She's had a runny nose, a cough, a rash and a fever. It really had me concerned so I decided to take her to the doctor. He gave her some medication to help with her acid reflex and told me to keep giving her tylenal. He said it should go away in about a week.

It is a crazy looking rash. I think it must be really itchy because she has been so irritable whenever you touch it.
While we were a the doctor, I took the boys over to Candy Grandma's. Chase got Trayvn all dressed up and they played cowboys and Indians.

We got alot of rain this morning. My boys thought it was awesome. They put on their snow clothes and went outside. After a couple minutes I went and checked on them. Why was I not surprised to see them soaking wet. They decided that the puddles weren't big enough so they turned on the water hydrant and made them bigger.

Then they decided that it was a good idea to put their heads in the water.

Then Trayvn decided to lay in it.

Keep in mind it is freezing cold outside and these boys are having the time on their lives.

Once the cold finally got to them they came in the house and I made hot chocolate (Rhev's favorite drink) and help them get stripped down for a warm bubble bath in Mommy's tub. This turned out to be no ordinary bubble bath. somehow they managed to get ahold of the bubble bath and pour the whole thing in the water. The bubbles got so high that I could barely see Trayvn's head.

It's a good thing they're cute!!!!
